2010 — Just A Fading Memory

“Doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results is insanity.” according to Albert Einstein.

Each year many of us sighs a sense of relief that the outgoing, difficult year is coming to an end. Of course, on the flip side, we are excited about the new opportunities that await us with the incoming year…after all, it has to be better than last year. Right?

In all the years we have made our New Year’s Resolutions, how many of those goals were realized? I do believe that setting resolutions sets us up to feel guilty when we drop them from our lives. In the end we stop making those goals and perhaps become desensitized to life.

All year we look at our lives; many doing the same routines over and over and consequently staying stagnant — not moving forward.

So how do we change this pattern of behavior? How do we find excitement in our mundane world of our own making? What type of shift or stand do we need to embrace in order to have different results on our daily journey?

People say we need to be “Real” or “Authentic”. I agree; yet, how does one go about becoming genuine? I believe that it is a matter of connecting the heart with the soul. We must feel the emotions and come from the reality that we are the essence of love; the essence of purity, integrity and goodness. When we know this, our habits, behaviors and destiny will bring a new outlook with each coming day or year. It is most definitely our choice as to how the coming 365 days are lived.

May 2011 bring great change…the kind that supports our growth into a new era. Enjoy the world created from the Authentic self; become that unconditional, loving Spiritual Being that chooses to do something different for unique results…helping make our world reflect the beauty of our soul is a destination we can live with.

Happy 2011…a remarkable new beginning of Reality.
