It would seem that we are currently being presented with a wide array of movies depicting long past events with mysterious undertones to future possibilities of destruction through natural causes.

From the De Vinci Codes to the Indigo Movie to 10.5 Apocalypse Now our senses are on overdrive. Many find themselves at odds not only with those of differing opinions but within the very fiber of their own being.

I don’t have a crystal ball telling me we are at a point of no return, that we are in the final throws of the end times. What I do believe is that we are being given an opportunity to examine our motives, our faith and where we are on the evolutionary scale of existence.

Change in one’s perception can indeed be a difficult road and one that tests all that we believe. I will also be the first to say that I don’t like my world view be shaken up. Yet, I also know that if we open our minds to the possibilities presented to us from whatever medium, and not come from fear, we can step into a realm filled with knowledge and hope.

When we are at our best and stand in our truth, there is no fear. Regardless of what we are told or shown the reality is that every event, every movie, every situation has only the power we give it.

If we put all our energy into resisting the exterior stimuli, going upstream so to speak, we soon will tire and find ourselves fighting a losing battle.

I am not suggesting we follow like sheep to the views or dictates of others. What I am saying is that within us resides an ancient wisdom and truth which knows no fear and is not bound by limited perceptions.

When we come from that place of observation, fear has no place to dwell. We are not plugged-in to the drama that surrounds us; we only see it from a place of non-emotional observation because we know the truth of the situation.

So when we find ourselves reacting strongly to a circumstance or to people, take a moment and ask yourself, “Am I coming from fear or knowing?” By recognizing the platforms we stand upon the most, we can make different choices. Are they platforms of fear or of wisdom and knowledge? Are they ones of anger, despair and hopelessness? Or maybe they are ones of hope, love & joy? Which platform do you stand upon?
