Welcome To The New World

By Michael Stephens

Living in the Now

You will notice that all the processes of moving from the old to the New World primarily deal with two things, the mind and the heart.

When we live only or mostly in our mind we do not live in the moment and as a result we do not fully experience life. Life in the truest sense is an experience and in the New World we experience life moment to moment with no thought of what moment passed or what moment is next.

When we don’t live in the moment we miss the experience of that moment…a moment that might have provoked an emotion, thought or action that was critical for the next moment.

Imagine two important moments, the one you’re in right now and the next one being your house payment. In between these two are 20 others. At this same time you have decided to quit your job because you feel called to paint and no longer feel being an accountant serves you. You have decided to stay in the moment and not be concerned about your house payment; instead you paint and follow yourself around moment to moment, fully realizing that you may lose your home if it is not really meant to be yours. You arrive at moment 18 which is you wondering about how to pay your house payment. Then you get distracted and notice how many beautiful paintings you’ve finished since moment one. You forget about your house payment while looking at your paintings and get the idea to take them to a art gallery you saw at moment 11. Moment 19 you walk into the art gallery; the owner greets you like a long lost friend and after showing him your art, he agrees to buy some…the amount turns out to be more than enough to pay your house payment.

Each moment is a gift. Each moment is an experience that we may or may not ever understand. But we can be certain that living in the moment will make life flow while living in the New World.

Sleeping

Many of us have been experiencing extreme exhaustion and may feel frustrated because we have things to do and places to be. Yet we find that we can barely function and more than anything we feel the need to sleep. When we fight this need we experience frustration and things don’t operate smoothly. Fighting the need to sleep and trying to be productive is actually not creating any decent forward movement.

The best thing we can do is sleep. When we make the choice to sleep we make the choice to be in the moment with ourselves and do what is needed at the time. We are also choosing not to live in fear and survival. If we do not choose to be in the moment and choose to fight and survive then that is what we’ll get…survival. Survivors feel as though they have been through something exhausting—that something will be the lack of care for ourselves.

Often we will feel this need to sleep after interacting with someone, accomplishing something or making a new choice. There is two factors that are very important here, the first is that when we do go to sleep we are giving our higher self time to go out and arrange for what is next. That could be the meeting of new people, a new opportunity, a new situation, etc. The second is the letting go, when we choose to sleep because feel we need it, we are letting go of more control. That control is the mind saying we must stay awake and survive. We will often discover that after we have slept, no matter how strange the time was, things will have shifted for us—something difficult became less difficult, a new opportunity arrived, we feel less worried or we may simply have more energy.

The real power here is that we do not have to do it all on our own. When we choose to let go of the ideas and plans our mind has made and allow ourselves to rest, we detach from the outcome and allow our life to unfold in more fast and perfect way. So please take the time to rest when your body is telling you its time.

What Is Mine

Whatever is mine is mine. This may be the trickiest of them all to truly get and live because we will find our mind always wants its piece and control.

We may find ourselves forcing timing; we might get attached to a new experience or might even try to make something happen that simply is not. When we do catch ourselves living in the old way, we simply need to remind ourselves that there is another way and then make the choice to live in the that way.

If we do what we feel, move from a place of love and constantly follow ourselves around all that we truly need and all that is truly ours will be delivered in the most divine timing.
