 Poverty
ConsciousnessBy Jackie Woods Do you ever hear yourself say, “I don’t have enough money, I don’t have enough time, I don’t have enough interest, I don’t have enough stamina or I don’t have enough knowledge?” The, “I don’t have syndrome” is a primary cause of poverty consciousness. Every time we think, feel, act or say we don’t have enough we reinforce in our consciousness that untruth about ourselves. The belief in this untruth that we don’t have enough is really just another way of saying I don’t believe my heart is capable of expressing in big ways. For the heart to express in big ways, it must be allowed the freedom to choose its own forms. Here is where the distrust of the heart gets played out a lot. Ask yourself, do you trust that your heart will create perfect forms for you to express through? If we are attached to what the form should look like, then we can’t possibly give our heart the freedom necessary to create what is needed for its growth and empowerment. Then the answer will be “no” to the trust question. When we have a fixed image of what success looks like, where money has to come from, what roles fit us or how much money we should make, then the only option we have for expressing our heart is to cram it into the picture that collage draws. Do we truly believe the spirit of all life that flows through our spiritual heart would ever paint such a small, impoverished picture? If our lives proves we believe that, then our God is not very big. Money cannot be the judge of how much abundance we claim, but never would our heart be too small to create every dollar we need. However, for our heart to create the money needed, we must see life as an opportunity for expression rather than an outcome to fulfill. For whatever heart energies we express into the physical, with joy, gets recycled. They will always come back to us in the exact way we need for them to. This means that all attachments as to how we are going to express, what we are going to express and how that expression is going to come back to us must be released. Getting rid of poverty consciousness does not mean ignoring that we have physical needs. In fact it is just the opposite. We must acknowledge that we are a physical being by bringing full awareness to what is going on in our lives. Look to see what bills you are having trouble paying. Did you purchase those items as part of your heart’s expression or did you purchase them because they fit your attachment picture of how your world should look? Full awareness of what is going on in our physical world will give us the answers needed as to what attachments we must give up to allow complete heart expression. Once an awareness inventory of our real physical needs has been made, we can then ask our heart to create opportunities for us to express whatever heart energies it feels are important for us. All of heaven will sing if we can give our spiritual heart that much freedom. Once the heart has been given the freedom to do its thing, then the impoverished “I don’t have” thinking will leave our consciousness. It is only our untrue picture of what we need, what we must look like in the world, and what our heart is capable of creating that keeps us from having a life full to the brim of wondrous, joyous adventures. Change that picture and abundance will flow through you in great measure. In the new picture you will trust the heart completely and willingly express through any form that it hands you. All the “I don’t haves” will be replaced with words of thanks of all the people and places through which our expressions return. Jackie
