Katrina
Natural disasters have plagued our world since the recording of history. From earthquakes to floods, from fire to hurricanes, humanity has had to endure them all. With each devastation more knowledge is obtained which leads to better planning for the next catastrophic event.
We can blame the latest demonstration of nature’s power and destruction on Global Warming; however, what about all those hurricanes and earthquakes of 100 years or so ago? How did the scientists explain it?
Was Katrina due in part to global warming or was this about life in general? (I believe it to be both).
When we stop to think about what we, as individuals are attempting to do with our lives, does it not make sense that Mother Earth is doing nothing less.
Are we not searching for a better life, a better understanding of who we are? Are we not seeking to purge and cleanse our lives from those things that no longer work for us?
Many people may consider the Earth as just a place that we live. However, through time and research Earth has been considered much more…Mother Earth is a sentient being. Perhaps not in the way you and I may think of sentient but nevertheless, Earth is a living energy that cannot be denied.
As everything in the universe is in a state of flux, the evolution of Earth and her inhabitants are being drawn into the flow and ebb of change.
We will always be in a state of growth and renewal with respites in-between…a time of just being.
Yes, hurricane Katrina has shaken our world. Yes, she has displaced thousands of people. And yet, Katrina gives us hope.
We will once again rebuild and start anew. We will find better ways to handle events of tragedy and will step-up-to-the-plate in support of the greater need. We will continue this evolutionary journey of life. We will rewrite history…and it will be a history told for centuries to come.
We are a resilient society that knows not of defeat. Our humanity is only as large as our hearts. The solution to Katrina and any life-altering event is our steadfast determination to move forward.
So as time moves on and we begin the healing process, we will once again find our hearts expanding. Yes, we are a resilient people, we are a good people and through it all, we hold within our hands the destiny of humanity.
What can we do for those who experienced Katrina? Hold the space for them — project love and light through prayer and meditation . Know that all efforts brings great healing. We are the solution to the Divine Plan. Take care my friends.
In love and light
