If you are an avid reader of In Light Times, perhaps you noticed the “Left Brain, Right Brain” article in May’s issue. When I took the test the results were totally “left brain” which actually explained my many quirks.
I am a person who definitely leans on the side of logic with intuition being in the background of consciousness. It’s not a sign that I am not intuitive, it just means that the use of that sixth sense isn’t as dominant. It only comes to the forefront of awareness when focused upon.
Often I marvel at those people who experience their angels, have psychic phenomena’s happening, see auras, guides or tap into the universal storehouse of knowledge.
How many times have you encountered such individuals and asked yourself, “Why can’t I see auras or my angels. What’s wrong with me?” Perhaps the answer is as simple as being “left” brained. When we are logical we are operating from our mind which is a limiting source of reference. However, whenever we are coming from our “right” brain — our intuitive side, we are tapping into the spiritual and universal consciousness that makes up the very fabric of our existence.
The question here is, how do we learn to tap into our intuitive selves on a more regular frequency? I believe the good news is that no one is totally 100% left or right brained. We all have the ability to switch sides — it’s just a matter of willingness. When reacting with emotional abandon, being depressed, angry or feeling hopeless, we are not walking the intuitive side of life. We are definitely in our left brain. By becoming aware of this, the pendulum can be redirected to the other side — the intuitive self.
There has to be a trust factor and a suspension of our logic which gives us our limiting reality. We must be willing to silence the mind, make it cease it’s feedback. By this silencing I am not speaking of meditation. What I am referring to is constantly being aware of it’s chatter and simply telling it to “shut down” to “stop.” With time, the mind will become more in alignment with the intuitive side because we are not reacting to left brain verbiage. Instead we are hearing the silence of spirit which is the all encompassing truth of the universe.
Even the great Masters and Gurus who have lived their lives from an intuitive perspective have sprinkled their words of wisdom with lyrics of logic. The fact we can tap into either side of our brain at any given time allows us the ability to live our potential. Knowing when to use logic or intuition is a matter of practicing and believing in the unseen world of spirit.
This invisible world is a place of unlimited potential awaiting our command. What do you believe in? What you see or the unseen?
Have a beautiful June, and remember Fathers everywhere; they are a strength of great foundation. Happy Father’s Day. Take care, In Love & Light,
