CRIME
Robberies, car thefts, and violent crimes will be on the rise in cities that include Los Angeles, New York, Chicago, Philadelphia, Washington DC, Miami, Dallas, and Houston. New DNA tracking techniques and more sophisticated criminal profiling by local police departments and the FBI will allow law enforcement authorities to have greater success apprehending perpetrators and prosecuting offenders.
WEATHER PATTERNS
Several force one and two hurricanes will hit Florida coast, but will be considered a mild season compared to 2004. Although the Texas/Louisiana Gulf Coast will sustain heavy rains and winds in June/July and September, there will be no hurricanes that will reach shore.
The US West coast will experience a hot, wet summer and a colder winter with more precipitation than usual. I don’t see any cataclysmic earthquakes hitting the West coast. However, it is very likely that in January/February, a quake measuring 2.5 to 3 will hit southeastern California, causing minor damage; and then in March/April, another 3 is likely to occur just outside Los Angeles. There will be another quake of less than 2.0 felt in the Lake Tahoe area with some rumbling and vibrating, but very minor, if any, damage.
The mid-Atlantic states will experience a very wet spring and fall, with flooding likely from heavy rainfalls. In addition, Oklahoma and Kansas should brace for a record tornado season in spring and summer.
A MESSAGE FROM KIM
The past year has been a time of great change and turmoil for our planet. With such stressful periods we have great opportunities for both spiritual and emotional growth.
This coming year patience, as well as learning to bloom where you are, which means to accept and enjoy the present by living in the moment, will be vital. The challenge in learning to bloom where you are involves developing the ability to remain balanced, centered, and neutral no matter what is going on around us. This is a very tall order, and certainly, for most of us, easier in theory than in practice!
Let us face the new year with much more strength, courage, confidence, and resolve because we are in a much different place than a year ago. We’ve earned a greater level of wisdom, enlightenment, and maturity because of everything we’ve experienced over the last twelve months. So let us put all our newfound enlightenment to work and allow it to help transcend the complacency, fear, anxiety, or frustration that has been derailing our forward movement by setting goals that will allow us a better quality of life. New goals that represent our current level of spiritual maturity will bring new experiences.
The year 2005 gives us a brand new clean slate of opportunity. Just think—at this time next year, we’ll have evolved even more—and that’s definitely something to look forward to.
I wish us the best year we’ve ever had in 2005!
