POWER vs FORCE
By David R. Hawkins, M.D., Ph.D.
Man is like a cork in the sea of consciousness – he doesn’t know where he is, where he came from, or where he’s going, and he doesn’t know why. He asks the same questions century after century, and so he will continue, failing a quantum leap in consciousness.
In his groundbreaking book, POWER VS. FORCE, Dr. Hawkins explains how all of our experience, including sickness and health, is the result of consciousness — energy patterns beyond our ordinary awareness. To clarify how these energy patterns manifest in each of us, he created a Map of Consciousness that defines the various levels of consciousness and the spiritual steps to enlightenment.
To find the true path, Dr. Hawkins provides the reader with the means to detect falsehood. After extensive research, he concludes that kinesiological testing can distinguish truth from falsehood — in relationships, business, religion, art, sports – in any aspect of human life. .
Dr. Hawkins says, “My hope as author has been that this work might undo the very sources of pain, suffering and failure, and assist the evolution of human consciousness in each of us to rise to the level of joy that should be the essence of man’s experience.”

JESUS: His School Years
by Walter Parks
For millions of Christians, Jesus Christ is the Savior. For millions of non-Christians, Jesus is regarded as a prophet and someone to respect. And yet the bible records his birth and early years and then jumps in time to when Jesus was about thirty. For those of you who wonder about his life between twelve and thirty, JESUS: HIS SCHOOL YEARS is a must read.
Scholar and author Walter Parks has searched beyond the bible to learn where Jesus was and what He was doing during this time. Using the scattered, non-biblical facts available, such as the Dead Sea Scrolls and texts from ancient writers, Mr. Parks weaves a story of supposition that fills in the blanks and offers the reader an intriguing and emotional understanding of the human we know as Jesus.
We know the Essenes at Qumran accepted boys at age twelve and older into the Essene School at the Qumran Monastery. We also know that Nazareth was a large Essene community. Knowing that, it is logical to assume Jesus was accepted into the school.
We know, from the Dead Sea Scrolls, that Essene education included the teachings of
Zoroaster, Brahminism, the Vedas, the Upanishads, Yoga, Buddha and Confucius. Further, the Qumran Monastery was a place of secrecy and seclusion — what better place for Jesus, remembering that Herod tried to find and kill him as a baby
JESUS: HIS SCHOOL YEARS furnishes an in-depth look at life in the monastery; what they studied, what they discussed, what work they did — and most importantly, how their beliefs developed. Mr. Parks writes, “We learned that the Essenes had collected all of God’s teachings from almost all the great religions of the past and had taken the best of the compilations for their own. In a very similar manner, Jesus then took these great Essene lessons, made His very important changes, and created His eternal teachings.”
Walter Parks has given us a fascinating look at what might have been. Jesus: His School Years, in this reviewer’s opinion, is a revealing, easy-to-read look at the transition of a twelve year old boy to the Messiah!.

THE SUPREME MYSTIC
A BIOGRAPHICAL NOVEL ABOUT THE
EARLY YEARS OF LORD KRISHNA
by Amal Bhakta
Lord Krishna lived on Earth in India about 5,000 years ago. Today, more than 800 million people worship and glorify him daily. While there have been many books written about Krishna (notably Bhagavad
Gita), it is the Hindu scripture Srimad Bhagavatam, written by Vyasa, that focuses on his personality and life. Author, mystic and teacher Amal Bhakta has penned a well-written and exciting historical novel based on this scripture.
THE SUPREME MYSTIC tells the story “…to involve and absorb the reader in Krishna’s life as deeply as possible and thereby make the reading experience a continuous transcendental meditation — one which is both pleasurable, instructive and inspiring.” In this reviewer’s opinion, Bhakta has succeeded admirably! In doing so, he has created a book for both the novice as well as the seasoned yoga student .
Like many historical novels, THE SUPREME MYSTIC is a page-turner; but unlike most, it offers the reader the rewarding concept about the universality of divine love. This epic work reveals the matchless miracles Lord Krishna performed as a child and youth, and contains the monumental battles he fought against King Kamsa’s sorcerers and Kamsa himself — to rid the world of evil and reestablish virtue.
If you’ve been looking for a book that can introduce you to the wonders of Lord Krishna; or, if you’re already an experienced yoga student but want to understand more about Krishna’s philosophy of pure love, look no further. The Supreme Mystic is the book this reviewer recommends!
