I Dreamed I Had An Interview With God…

So you would like to interview me” God asked.

“If you have the time” I said.

God smiled, “My time is eternity. What questions do you have in mind for me?”

I thought, then answered “What surprises you most about humankind?”

God answered, 

“That you rush to grow up and then long to be a child again.

That you lose your health to make money, then lose your money to restore that health.

That by being anxious about the future, and regretting the past, you allow this moment to slip away…and nothing is more important.

That you live as if you will never die, and die as if you had never lived.

That some people are meant to share lifetimes together, others only moments—but when your heart connects with that one, both hearts beat as one—you will know it instantly…and always.”

Then God’s hand took mine and we were silent for awhile.

Then I asked, “What are we here to learn; what is the purpose for being?”

God replied with a smile, “It’s all about the experience—you were created to experience for me. Humankind was my creation, but I can only actually ‘experience’ through you. You must simply love yourself, and those worthy of that love will appear.

“To learn that regardless of the appearance of a situation, you are not alone. With your help, We can accomplish anything. You will ALWAYS know truth in your heart, and always have choices in your head—and the path that you select is ALWAYS yours.

“To learn that a person’s real value is not based on how much he has, but how much he is willing to share.

To” learn that words can cause deeper wounds than any other weapon.

“If others ever make you unhappy, you have given them your power—you ALWAYS have the choice (and responsibility) to determine your own response.

“To learn that two people can look at the same thing and see it differently.

“There are no good or bad lessons, they are ALL your perceptions—and the “bottom line” of EVERY response is either based on Love or Fear. ‘Good & Bad’ is an human illusion.

To learn that if ‘they’ think you are crazy for following your truth or your heart…follow your truth and your heart anyway. Because it never is up to them, anyway.

And to learn that I am here…always.”
