What Is Spiritual Growth?

Gratitude for our perceived inadequacies

We must use our inadequacies to assist us in seeing what is asking for transformation within us. We cannot do this successfully by simply forcing ourselves not to judge or criticize, for this does not solve the real problem at hand which is our relationship with ourselves. Each time we resist another; it is an inner request for more love.

Let me reiterate, the key to spiritual growth is acceptance of the physical, the self, and the world we have co-created with humanity. The great Master said “know thyself”. This is a wise statement, for as we know ourselves, we will see that indeed our greatest need and longing is love. We were created in love, and went forth from the Source in love.

So many believe we are bereft of love and desire to be loved. However, if we enter that sacred space, deep down within our being, we can discover a yearning, or calling if you will, to return to our true nature of love. Acknowledging this call; listening to it, allows us to feel it. As we sense it, allowing it to well up inside, tears may flow or our fears may surface. Even sadness may show itself and all we need to do is accept these feelings. For acceptance, which is love, conquers all, love permeates all, love is All-That-Is.

Each and every one of us is a sub-division of the greater whole, an extension of that which is non-physical, that which is, the All-That-Is. Because we are part of this whole, we cannot be separated from it. Therefore, we are the continued extension of love. his love is the first and last law, it is the beginning and the end, it is the journey and the destination. here is no higher goal than love, no journey more exquisite than love. When will we acknowledge that our deepest desire is to love? When will we give up the resistance to the call of the heart? When will we allow the finger of God to touch us? When will we embrace ourselves and say, “All is well with me”? When? The choice is ours; we have all eternity to make up our mind. We can return to love right now, or perhaps several lifetimes from now. One thing is for certain, our soul will return to love for…it is the very substance of the Universe, its’ foundation of existence, of all realities.

Take a moment to go within and get quiet. See yourself in the center of your body, just behind the area of the navel. In this spot, (in front of the spine), visualize a light; this place carries your souls’ will to love. Breathe into this area. Re-awaken the flame of Divine Desire, allow it to build within until you want to love so much that it is your all consuming desire. Be not afraid of this place, for it is salvation, liberation, and our ticket home…a reality of love. It is not a place, not a dimension, nor another planet. It is where love prevails and is the guiding and building force in our lives. Live life…love life! Love is who we are!
