What Is Spiritual Growth?

The other obstacle to spiritual growth is resistance. So many of us are blaming the world, our parents, politicians, institutions, corporations, money men and industrialists for our woes… and yet there is not one out there who is our enemy or who can exert themselves against us without our permission, either consciously or subconsciously.

How do we give our permission to another to exert themselves against us? We do so by aligning ourselves with them vibration ally through thought. When we think in toxic ways, we pollute our bodies. When we think in violent ways, especially towards ourselves, violence will be drawn to us. Controlling our natural urges, limiting our creativity, belittling and limiting ourselves in essence is saying that we are less than. We are the law in our life; it isn’t the authorities that “do anything to us,” it is our own doing. We are the way, the truth and the light, none other. What we say goes. We are the boss. Insist on believing that we are powerless, and powerlessness is what we will experience.

Resistance is lack of acceptance, love is acceptance

As we accept, in love, the world and all her components, we begin to experience non-attachment…the creative force of the Universe. This force is at our fingertips. Indeed, it is so that when we give up being attached to having things a certain way, we are then totally free to create whatever we want and to have the things exactly as we want them!

Think about it, the way we behave towards others is often how we treat ourselves. When we are critical of others, are we not critical of ourselves? And what of judgments? Are the judgments about others or what we see within our own soul on a conscious and subconscious level? Any negative energy we project outwardly is reflective of our inner world. What we do unto others, we do unto ourselves.

It is important to remember, we can only give to another that which we are prepared to give unto ourselves.

We have choices as to whether we embrace ourselves in total acceptance, (love) or non-acceptance (judgments, criticism). The decision we make will either bring us great joy, peace and success, or its’ opposite. Recognize that our lack of acceptance in all its forms, will keep us enslaved to the lower vibration of creation.

Acceptance is the greatest love of all…especially when we include ourselves in the equation.
