Feng Shui For The Season
By Rozana Gilmore
Spring represents re-birth and is the season that connects heaven and earth. It is a time for growth, healing and to restore balance in life.
One of the most powerful ways to promote complete health, and balance energy, is Feng Shui — the ancient Chinese art of placement.
If you are healthy and balanced, there is a sense of inner peace and are content with your life, you are able to go with the flow. Feeling depressed, having low energy or being disheartened keeps you stuck in an unfulfilled existence.
It is possible to realign your life by using the energy in your surroundings. I know what you‘ve heard about Feng Shui, hang some wind chimes; clear some clutter and like magic something great happens. Its not magic, its energy and it is entirely possible to balance your life and attract success or anything else your heart desires. An environment that works with you, not against you, can revitalize every aspect of your life.
Spring presents an opportunity for your inner and outer changes to start working together. Everything is new again and you can incorporate even the smallest adjustments as a place to start fresh. Take a look around. Have you surrounded yourself with what makes you feel good? People, things, your job, how you eat?
The first thing is to get clear about what it is you want to attract into your life. Relationships, health and prosperity? Sometimes the easiest way to get clear is to take note of what you do not want and work from there. However, it is very important to stay in the present moment, don‘t lose sight of the goal.
Now look for adjustments you can make in yourself and your surroundings regarding your goals. Baby steps are fine, just pick one thing to start with…trust that little voice inside and know the answers are there. Insist on the life you want. Allow your environment to help design the life you want, not keep you from it.
Notice your eating habits, attitude or belief patterns that no longer serve you. The food you eat has an energy of its own. Foods that contain the greatest amount of energy are “living foods”. Fruits, vegetables, whole grains and seeds.
Processed foods have much less natural energy and are “dead foods”. By eating “living foods” you are improving your health and promoting positive energy.
Almost everyone has some issue with their financial situation. Check the abundance area of your home or office. (You will find the abundance area in the far-left corner from the door as you enter in your home or office.) Is it filled with clutter or something broken?
Energy moves, or stays still according to shape, color, and light. This is not an area you want blocked. Clear out that area so energy flows easily and you remain open to blessings life has to offer. Adding a water treatment or tall green plant here will attract abundance.
A light that shines upward toward the ceiling will also work well. This corner is the perfect place to put a list of goals and desires. Neatly write it out and place it out of sight. Make sure you are very specific…you just might get what you ask for.
Spring cleaning is great for removal of clutter—the cause of stagnant energy. Closets, drawers and storage units gather all sorts of stuff that keep us blocked. Cleaning and organizing can assist in releasing old patterns and emotions that clog our body, mind and spirit. This is a good way to make room for the universe to fill that space with something new.
If your stuff doesn‘t have sentimental value or isn‘t used regularly, toss it.
“Lighten Up” Open the shades for sunlight to come in. Add light to your life. Did you know a night light is symbolic of long life and health?
Something missing in life? Place paintings or objects on your walls that you really enjoy. Blank walls mean a blank future.
Remember, what you have, you will attract more of. Focus on the strengths and positive qualities of yourself and others.
Gratitude is a powerful creative energy. Appreciation turns you into a magnet. Living life will land in your lap—you won‘t need to seek it.
Regardless of circumstances, focus on things you can express gratitude for. It is important to not take for granted even the smallest of items.
The principals of Feng Shui are an ancient Chinese system of harnessing the flow of energy. These principals are powerful tools that anyone can easily incorporate into their life to support the efforts towards well-being.
Become conscious of anything that robs you of happiness…whether it be your thoughts or the material “things” in your life.
Utilize the season from the inside out and bring well-being home. You can have the life you desire.
