Spirituality Matters

Energy balancing is a spiritual concept, a matter of faith about the way the world works. In his work, Stephen Lewis applies this concept to the elusive goal of human potential. EMC2 stands for the Energetic Matrix Church of Consciousness, a religion in that we have core beliefs that define, in a spiritual sense, the structure of consciousness, nature and the universe. The name reflects a belief in the spiritual implications of Einstein’s equation, E=mc2, confirming that consciousness is essentially spiritual. Its sacrament of energetic balancing is not health care nor does it make medical claims, diagnose, treat or prevent disease. Rather, its teachings serve as a guide to tapping into the essence of life’s creative force. These are essential distinctions: between diagnosis, treatment and cure, which are in the bailiwick of medicine, and healing, which is proprietary to spirituality.
In this system of understanding, science is understood to be a branch of religious thought, yet another of man’s attempts to explain the universe. Because this paradigm is substantially different from the physical/material concepts we have all been brought up with, it constitutes a complete reframing of our knowledge of the world. This is the beginning of a level of consciousness that’s totally different.

People recognize that their inner needs aren’t being met. They’re itching for a change but they don’t know how to get there. One aspect of our evolution on an individual level into energetic beings means that we must transcend the limitations of our physical bodies. This involves making the transition from vibrating at a lower level on a physical plane to vibrating at a higher level on an energetic plane. As we eliminate each imbalance, the energy we have available to use increases, the more conscious we become, and the greater the opportunities to discover deeper, more subtle imbalances. In becoming more conscious, we experience a spiritual awakening.

The EMC2 doctrine includes the belief that changing our individual levels of consciousness involves a spiritual changing of the energetic matrix, as well as enabling us to regain energetic integrity and health. With a basic belief in the tenet that spirit is energy and energy is spirit, we come to the idea that all illness is energetic in nature. “Dis-ease” is understood to be a result of an individual’s misalignment with the power of the spiritual energy, life force, the subtle energetic matrix which is both within and around us. There is no physical disease without a mental equivalent moving first through the emotional and then the etheric body. If there is nothing to change the chain of events, whatever is festering in the etheric body manifests as disease. By realigning our individual self to be in harmony with our higher self through energetic repatterning, then physical, emotional, and spiritual ailments can disappear.

Knowing, intuitively, that if everything is energy, then anything can be changed, Stephen Lewis worked to apply his understanding of spirituality as consciousness in helping us to re-create the way we live, our well-being. He realized that to implement and use this knowledge, he’d have to find a method of measuring life in units of consciousness. The development of this process was not without its founder’s own spiritual awakening. His contribution came through a revelation that subtle energy forces are frequencies that can be measured in levels of consciousness. 

The vision which formed the basis for this revelation of how to measure life in units of consciousness came from a higher source. Evolving from such spiritual technology as the prayer wheel (filled with rice paper on which is written OM MANI PADME HUM 10,000 times), he applied balancing energies through electronic impetus to the digital encodings of consciousness. This is the method employed in the AIM (“All-Inclusive Method”) program, the sacrament delivered by the EMC2. There is probably no better word to describe the AIM program: a sacrament may be defined as an act which is an outward and visible sign of inward and spiritual divine grace. Because it promotes healing, which is spiritual, the delivery of balancing energies in the AIM program is a sacrament. The religious designation indicates the distinction but whether it’s an organized spirituality or not doesn’t matter because what is done exists in the realm of healing, as opposed to the realm of curing. Treating and curing proceed from the outside in. Healing, however, proceeds from the inside out.
