Spiritually-minded Friends, 

I received this powerful message from a woman’s leadership friend. She works to bring light and love to the world as we all do. Though she sent this to me around New Year’s, I read only a fraction of it at the time. For whatever reason, I came upon it today and read it completely. Today is August 16th. One of the important dates mentioned in the message is August 16, 1987. There are no coincidences - only spirit-filled synchronicities.

Like many, I believe we are living in a powerful time of transformation on our planet. We came here at this time for a purpose and we can always make a difference. The following is an ancient Mayan calendar prophecy and interpretation based upon the movements of the sun and planets. Read it if your heart speaks to you to do so — it took me 7 months. It is intriguing and powerful. It brings to mind a greater awareness for us all to be clear in intent with our prayers, thoughts and actions. I am not one to believe absolutely in any type of prophecy. I believe in the power of possibilities and awareness. Some would choose to feel fear about the events of our world and the unknown future. Parts of the following lecture about the Mayan prophecy could bring up that emotion. Remember though, that fear is — False Evidence Appearing Real. Many inspired teachers (like Stephen Covey, Neale Donald Walsch and others) tell us our thoughts and choices are inspired by either of two emotions FEAR or LOVE. Remember that false, evidence, (can) appear real — but let us all think thoughts and extend actions that are inspired by LOVE. May we all remember how powerful we are with our love and our loving thoughts and actions!

Carlos Barrios, "We have work to do as this is a crucially important moment for humanity and Earth. Each person is important. If you have incarnated into this era, you have spiritual work to do balancing the planet."

Carlos Barrios was born on El Altiplano, the highlands of Guatemala. His home was in Huehuetenango which is also the dwelling place of the Maya Mam tribe — the keepers of time and authorities on ancient calendars which are relevant to our time.

As a historian and anthropologist Mr. Barrios has spent over 25 years studying with the traditional Maya elders. "The destiny of the Mayan world is related to the destiny of the whole world" says Mr. Barrios.

For years many people contend that the world will end in December, 2012 (according to the Maya prophecy). The Mayan elders are angry with this as the world will not end — it will be transformed.
