CREATING MIRACLES BY
INTENT
BY PATTI E In November last year, I visited a friend in Colorado. We sat down and wrote affirmations about things we wanted in our lives. My primary motivation for writing was money. After we both had relatively poetic verses written we said a chant together. It was quite ceremonious. I flew back to Las Vegas and over the course of the next three weeks, I read the chant and poem at least once a day, always in front of a mirror. I would light a candle or some incense and really felt what I was doing. I focused on each line and pictured it in my mind as I did it. On November 19, I was watching TV and saw an advertisement for winning a new Nissan Xterra. I called in and entered to win. I looked at my astrological chart and right there in planetary print was transiting Jupiter exactly conjunct my natal Sun on November 23. What you have to know is that the sun is the strongest planet in my chart. I knew from that moment the car could be mine, should be mine, was mine! I said this to my boyfriend. I began telling my friends and family that I was going to win that car and on Saturday, November 23, could everyone please see me winning it. I rearranged my work schedule to make it to the dealership. I told one of my clients that we had to reschedule, as I had to go win a car that day. She gladly agreed and said she would think good thoughts toward that end. The magical day finally arrived. I went to the Nissan dealership along with 24 other people to try to win the car (try?, it was mine!). Six people didn’t even show up. We had approximately two hours to wait until the drawing began. The Xterra was on display. I walked around it, looked at it, spread my essence around it, already staking my claim. Finally, I sat in it and closed my eyes. I could feel myself becoming one with the Nissan. I knew I was going to win. The contestants were randomly selected to choose the key that would open the door to the new 2003 Nissan Xterra. I slipped my hand into the bucket of keys, closed my eyes and visualized grabbing the right key. I could feel the people waiting impatiently behind me. My adrenaline was really pumping. The other contestants selected a key and we all lined up to try our keys. The first person tried their key once...twice...no dice. I was up next. I placed my key into the lock...twisted...and nothing. I knew the car was mine, so I tried again…and the door flew open! I screamed and grinned and got in to start it just to make sure…and it revved right up. I remember seeing a sea of disappointed faces as it was — my turn to win! I know all the positive thoughts, my own focus, and fortuitous planetary actions helped me achieve my goal. |
