DEAR LOUISE
Dear Louise, How do I live as if I have
wealth and prosperity if I barely make enough money to pay my bills? I
do daily affirmations and say a gratitude mantra over each bill payment
that I mail out. I’m thankful for every paycheck. I picture myself
building my dream house, and I go on the Internet to do research to
determine what my dream car is. I’m a doll collector and imagine
opening up the boxes that have just been delivered and focus on the
wonderful feelings these thoughts produce. But how do I live as if I’m
wealthy? In other words, what do I say when friends ask me to go out
with them and I just don’t have the money to do so?
J.J., Atlanta
First you need to expand your
consciousness; then the money will come. Think only thoughts that make
you feel good. Enjoy the wealth that you do have and appreciate every
penny you attract. Spend it with joy. Be grateful for all the good in
your life now. Expand your level of appreciation for your current
life. Don’t think thoughts of lack or criticism, as they only delay
your good. Think happy thoughts; they’re worth more than any amount
of money.
Just keep repeating the following
"I LOVE MY LIFE. I LOVE ME. I LOVE ALL THE FOOD I HAVE NOW, AND
ALL THE GREATER GOOD THAT’S COMING TO ME. ALL IS WELL." As for
your friends, say "That’s not within my budget at the moment,
but it’s coming soon."

Dear Louise,
I’ve been having problems with acid
reflux, and I often experience extreme hunger pains in my solar plexus.
Almost seven years ago, I cut off contact from my father, yet I regained
contact with him about eight months ago. Now in my desire to have a
loving relationship with my dad, old feelings of not feeling loved by
him have surfaced—along with major fears about money and moving
forward with my life. I feel like I’m craving so much love that it’s
causing me to feel a great deal of hurt, anger, and fear. My mind is
resistant to the simplicity of saying, "I love myself." What
do you suggest?
H.R., Sacramento
As long as you choose to have a
resistant mind, there’s nothing I can do for you. Your mind is not
in control of you, you are in control of your mind. You choose the
thoughts you choose to think If you choose hurt, anger, and fear, then
you’ll naturally get a sick stomach. Listen to your body. The
answers are always simple.
You can’t change the past; in fact
it doesn’t exist anymore except in your mind. Don’t worry about
having a loving relationship with your father. Have a loving
relationship with yourself. You are worth loving. Think thoughts that
make you happy—when your mind feels good, your stomach will feel
good, too.

Dear Louise,
I’m a very gifted and talented comedian
and performer, but so far, I haven’t been able to make a living at my
trade. People have been telling me my whole life that I’m going to be
famous. I believe in my talent, but I also feel a lot of resistance to
achieving my goals. My dad was a drunk and bipolar, so I’m sure that
my troubles must go back to my childhood. How can I open my
consciousness so that I can share my gifts with others?
L.S., Los Angeles
You’re not your father. Yes, you
had a troubling childhood, but that is long over. Today you have the
opportunity to feel good and enjoy your life. Being famous isn’t
that important right now, so give up that goal. Just love who you are,
be appreciative and grateful for everything in your life now, and the
new good experiences will naturally follow. The happier you allow
yourself to be, the quicker your life will open up. I know you can do
it!
