Greetings, since being out of the hospital I have found that my new lifestyle is something that takes time to get use to. When you have spent most of your life as a “junk food” addict, eating properly and finding a balance between work and rest or recreation can be quite challenging. Happy ThanksGiving! Take care, Michelene My dear friends, as most of you know I was hospitalized this summer with a very serious condition. As I struggle to regain my health and to get the paper back on schedule, I want you all to know how very much your prayers and continued patience means to me. On those days when I find myself less than optimistic over my present circumstances, I read and re-read the creed I have reprinted for you below. It is my hope that it brings to you the courage and inspiration it has brought me. I trust, as you are reading these words that you find within your heart a love and joy for who you are. Again, thank you for your ongoing support.
Promise Yourself . . . To be so strong that nothing can disturb your peace of mind. To talk health, happiness and prosperity to every person you meet. To make all your friends feel there is something worthwhile in them. To look at the sunny side of everything and make your optimism come true. To think only of the best, to work only for the best, and to expect only the best. To be just as enthusiastic about the success of others as you are about your own. To forget the mistakes of the past and press on to the greater achievements of the future. To wear a cheerful countenance at all times and give every living creature you meet a smile. To give so much time to the improvement of yourself that you have no time to criticize others. To be too large for worry, too noble for anger, too strong for fear, and too happy to permit the presence of trouble. Written by Christian D. Larson in 1912
