The POWER Of Thought
By Danielle Jackson
What is thought? It is not Matter, nor Spirit. It
is not a Thing, but a Power and Force. The spoken words, being mere sounds, may
vanish into thin air, and the written ones, mere marks, be burned, erased,
destroyed but the THOUGHT itself lives still, and must live on forever.
~ ALBERT PIKE ~
If the above statement is true…how have we been
using the power of thought? The evidence of what we see and experience in our
lives very easily answers this question.
It is often very difficult to understand how our
thoughts have created the resulting events that we experience. We want to
believe that only our "directed" thoughts about what we want should
manifest while we ignore all the chatter thoughts that reflect our fears and
worry about our lives, relationship and well being. It is as though we want to
believe that the "chatter" thoughts don’t really count. Well they
do! In fact the "chatter" thoughts will often ensure our
"directed" thoughts are delayed in their manifestation.
If, for most of the day, your mind is filled with
fear and worry thoughts, often contained in the random chatter mind; and perhaps
several times a day you focus and direct your thoughts towards what you really
desire, what do you think your manifestation results will be? Will they be what
you wanted or will they reflect what you feared? For many individuals their mind
is full of chatter and what they ultimately manifest is a smorgasbord of events
that they want to deny any responsibility for causing.
Our minds are extremely powerful! That power is
extended through our thoughts. The power within thoughts is neither positive nor
negative… it is just power. The fact that thoughts go forth to create is a
reality. The contents of your thoughts will determine your experience. Only you
can decide if they are bringing what you want to experience. Fear thoughts
always manifest into fearful experiences. Unloving thoughts always result in
experiences of isolation and exclusion.
Thoughts of loneliness will always result in
being alone. Thoughts of lack and scarcity will always result in lack and
scarcity. Whatever your mind is most focused upon will be your manifestation. An
infrequent affirmation of goodness, an occasional prayer for prosperity/healing
will not bring the desired results if the majority of your thoughts reflect that
the goodness, prosperity or healing is not yours.
It is within the endless, repetitive
"chatter" thoughts, which occupy our minds that we can find both the
problem and solution in experiencing the manifestations that we want, rather
than getting what we don’t want. It necessitates our willingness to be
attentive to our thoughts and begin to reframe our thoughts as they come into
our awareness. As thoughts that reflect what we don’t want come into our
awareness we change them to thoughts about what we do want. This calls for a
different level of disciplined responsibility. Without this discipline we will
continue to get just what we are getting.
The experience of who we are begins with who we
think we are. The experience of our life, relationships with others, ourself and
our Source will be what we think we deserve. Very often our thoughts mask who we
truly are and what we truly deserve. Perhaps it is time we begin to practice the
truth about ourselves. We are an extension of Gods love, created in perfection
and given and deserving everything to become all that which we truly are.
