With the final touches on this month’s issue I am amazed at the depth of the processing that takes place while doing so.

In Light Times is truly a work in progress and my heart’s passion. As my inner world changes, which I have written about on many occasions, ILT takes on a new energy.

In April, many expressed the “buttons” that were pushed when seeing the cover for the first time. Most comments were, “I love it but I’m not sure about it.” Of course, I wasn’t all that sure and yet, I knew on some level that without a doubt, it was the most perfect cover to go hand in hand with the, “Discovering Your Life Purpose” article. For me the image expressed a “breaking out” or a transformation and life is all about change.

I believe that is part of this year’s message…self discovery. I cannot remember a time when so much movement, worldwide, took place. The excitement that we felt at the turn of the century, the hype of the Millennium 2000, does not compare to the overall energy movement of 2002. For me there is a different inner sense that whatever happens we will most definitely be okay.

In looking back over the past few months (and even years) I can see in retrospect the growth. The articles, the short quips and poetry are all expressions of an age when fond memories were created and the world was not so chaotic. Call it the “baby boomers” age or whatever…it is still representative of a society filled with wisdom, humor and greatness and we must not misplace those qualities that brought us to this level of consciousness. It isn’t just about honoring ourselves — having a good time. It has to do with embracing the lean years and the sad and hard times as well as the peaceful and inspiring times, the times of great strides.

In order to experience and express ourselves fully we must understand both our polarities of positive and negative and know that there is only balance when we accept both as equal.

This does not mean we stop working on ourselves or issues. It is however an opportunity to acknowledge ourselves as being whole and complete (even with our dark side) without judgment. The “Return” Window…Are You Prepared?” is an article of encouragement and fills my being with anticipation and excitement. It is an invitation to remove our excess baggage and soar to new heights and yet if we choose not to then that’s okay for we hold the space for other’s to realize their destiny. Once more a prime example of our oneness with each other.

It is indeed great to be on this path called life and as we progress toward our destiny — whatever that looks like — we can be proud in the fact that we are spiritual beings having a human experience.
