By Katherine Torres Step 4 - Step Out with Courage Once in action, you must take the fourth step and be willing to step out with courage and intent to fulfill the path. Decipher what it will take to reach the goal of your quest and begin the process. What is it that you need to do? Prepare and do it now. Step 5 - Facing Your Dragons As the process begins, the fifth step is apparent almost immediately. It is one of the most turbulent steps and will test your faith and belief in the quest. Challenges will cross your path. Fears will arise with messengers that tell you that you haven't the power to make the trip. Denials will fill your head. Constriction will fill your heart, and unworthiness will choke your ego calling it to stop the quest in order to survive. Many events will occur that offer you the opportunity to sabotage your journey. The dragons and daemons will show their ugly heads letting you know that the fire of desire could destroy you, destroy what you already have, and perhaps leave you with nothing. You will be at choice here to accept the voices of fear. They will likely be simply the voices of concern trying to make you stay in the pathway of familiarity and keep you from the risks you will need to take as you journey to a new level of yourself. Step 6 - Follow the Maze Once you face the dragons spitting the fire of fright, then you arrive at the gate of the environment of your quest. As you look inside you will find the brilliant light of spirit flowing through the trees, gardens of delicious fruits, fragrances of wonderful flowers and pathways to higher knowledge. The pathways will look like a maze. The sixth decision will be to step into the maze and follow it. Passing by way-stations, you may find that you need to collect more insight, more education, more tools. You will be testing the surroundings of your call. You will have the chance to feel it, taste it, touch it, live it. You will have the chance to try it on before you finalize your acceptance of it. Does it fit? Do you want to go on to step seven? Step 7 - Be Sure This next step calls out different messengers family and friends, or others already on the path. They will question your choice. They are representatives of your last vestiges of doubt and fears. They are the inquirer who asks you to be very sure you are doing what you really want, ask you if you are responding to the "real" call, and ask you if you are following a true path. They may be those individuals in your life who would prefer you don't change, for in your change they must also. Pay attention to these challenges. If they are the voice of your fears, defend your right to change and stand up in confidence as you continue to walk the path toward your quest. If they are the voice of guidance trying to set you on the true path, listen and adjust your course. Perhaps illusion brought you to the path, not truth. This step asks you to be sure. Are you really sure? Are you soul sure? Step 8 - Persevere As you pay attention to your heart and soul, you will not be persuaded to go in a different direction if your quest is true. You will know it completely. Your eighth step will call you to persevere. Continue honing your insights, polishing your talent, and honoring your land of enchantment. Keep doing whatever is necessary to accomplish your highest level of achievement. Do you know what is necessary? Are you listening to the guidance within and the guidance of teachers and coaches along the way who honor and support your truth?
