A Change Of Seasons
"What does this mean?" pondered the dragon. "This is the shift!" he exclaimed with horror. Then sadly the dragon thought, I will never be honored by my townspeople again. And once the old ones like that grandmother die, no one will remember me at all. There will be no more offerings and the Change of Seasons will fade into the past. This new church, which has instilled fear in my townspeople will make their Christmas replace my Winter Celebration.' Time Forgot left the town and flew home to his cave. He was very, very sad; sadder than he had ever been in his entire life. Since there was nothing left to do at this late hour, he nested in his favorite sleeping spot, circled his tail around his nose and fell into a deep sleep. "Time Forgot rise. Your mission is complete!" Said the deep happy voice of the Lord of Dragons. "My Lord!" exclaimed Time Forgot. "I have not seen you for millennia. What do you mean my mission is complete?" asked the dragon blinking in the bright light that filled the room. "Time Forgot you have protected the people and cared for the Earth, that was your mission. Now the consciousness must shift and the people must become more responsible for each other." Said the Lord of Dragons. "So that is what the shift is about. The people will learn to take care of themselves? But what about Jesus and the church, I do not understand?" "Jesus is a great spiritual leader sent by the Creator to teach the people of Earth how to treat each other. He came to show them that they are limitless sparks of the Creator and when they learn to trust in their divinity, they can protect each other and themselves." "But I didn't see Jesus, where was he? If he is supposed to protect my townspeople, where is he?" asked Time Forgot diligently. "He is no longer in a physical body, Time Forgot. Jesus left centuries before his teachings reached your village. It is his teachings that will protect the people once they understand them." "Shouldn't I go back and help them until they reach this understanding Lord Dragon?" asked Time Forgot. "No Time Forgot, your job is done. The people of Earth can no longer see you. Even if I sent you back to that physical body, their consciousness has shifted and they cannot see you." "Please Lord Dragon, one more time would you explain how Jesus will protect my people?"
"Well actually, I would love to see one of these angels and I would love to see Jesus too. If it wouldn't be too much of an inconvenience for you Lord, I really would appreciate it." Said the dragon shyly. "Okay, Time Forgot, since you were the last of the mighty dragons to live on Earth, I cannot refuse." Said Dragon Lord as he flashed his great tail into the air and a beam of lightening cracked through the sky. t was the first moment that Time Forgot noticed where he was. He was in a great hall filled with enormous tables laden with all kinds of festive foods and there were dragons everywhere. "Oh my Lord of Dragons, have I been selfish?" said the dragon. "Have all these dragons been waiting for me to arrive in order to celebrate the shift?" "Yes! I was about to explain that to you. But you had so many questions." replied the Lord. "But never mind that now," he continued turning to a being who had just appeared "Here is the greatest warrior angel to answer your questions. Michael, this is the last of our earthly dragons, Time Forgot." "A pleasure to meet you." Said Michael the Archangel slightly bowing to the dragon. "What can I do for the great protector of Changdun?" "Michael, I do not understand this shift. Would you mind explaining it to me and how Jesus will protect my people?" asked Time Forgot. |
