After last month’s issue I must confess that I find it difficult to express all I am feeling. The year 2001 will undoubtedly be remembered as a year of great tragedy; however we must not forget the other side of the coin and all the good that has manifested in this year and in our lives. So many people have lost loved ones and the ripple effect on the economy brings to the surface a nation’s emotions of fear, anger, and uncertainty. We are told to get on with our lives and that is true. But remember, in getting on with life means we must allow the grief, anger and even the fear and uncertainty — for they too are a part of who we are. It does not mean we are ruled or crippled by such emotions it only signifies we acknowledge our make-up as human beings. Moving on isn’t always easy but move on we must. A process has been started and one I believe will ultimately lead to world peace. How soon that peace is achieved depends on each one of us. There is the saying that what we focus on is what we will get more of. If we continue to see only the catastrophe and the destruction then those thoughts will hold that energy in place. I am not saying to forget those who gave their lives for that indeed would be the greatest tragedy. What I am saying is look to the bigger picture. See the possibilities of what we, as a whole, can accomplish. All around the globe groups of people are praying together. Never in our history has there been such unification and as time goes on, those prayers, those thoughts of peace and love will cut through the darkness of our time. As I mentioned earlier, we must also look to the good in our lives for that energy too will be held in place and the manifestation of that light energy will off-set the shadowed side of existence. With the ending of the year, 2001, let us look into the crystal ball of change. Let us look into the world of our inner thoughts and see a future bright with peace, love and joy. The holidays are here and along with them comes the tradition of giving and one of the greatest gifts we can give is the gift of ourselves. By allowing ourselves the gift of self-acceptance and love, we will bring a sense of balance and freedom into our lives. We are exactly where we are meant to be in order to take the next step in the evolution of peace and harmony. Treating ourselves with love— doing something we haven’t done in quite a while is a tribute to those who are no longer with us— for they do indeed have the best of both worlds. A place of peace and love and the memory of all their loved ones upon the earth plane. Renew the Spirit of Peace, renew the Spirit of Love and remember, there is magic in the world; I know for I have seen Harry Potter! Blessings to you all this holiday season.
