Happy New Year! May you find the year 2001 the most adventurous journey yet to be experienced ... and in today’s society that can be anything your imagination can manifest. What is amazing to me is that as I put together each month’s issue, how the appropriate articles seem to come in a most fortuitous fashion. This month we have a wonderful piece called, "Food For Thought" which made me stop for a moment to realize my work-a-holic tendencies. Then we have the new section, Light Thoughts, which stopped me again Ñ this time causing me to smile as I remembered… way back when. The "Good Ol’ Days" was another great contribution which gave knowledge about how certain phrases came into being… such as, "It’s raining cats and dogs." I bet most of us never knew (or maybe we never even cared) why it rained cats and dogs… it was just a phrase. Another fun article was about "Liberating Your Magnificence," along with the Love Quiz. Thought you all might enjoy seeing where you stand on the scale of Love. Enjoy the process. Of course, we still have to discover "What Tree Are You?" and if the "Pharaoh" really did "Chew Juicy Fruit" and how much "Rage" can upset anyone’s day. And to round out the issue we have Doreen’s, "The Angels & The New Children of Light." Now, that being said, I would like to offer the following piece from, Nelson Mandela: Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness, that frightens us. We ask ourselves, who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented and fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a Child of God. Your playing small doesn’t serve the world. There’s nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won’t feel insecure around you. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It’s not just in some of us; it’s in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fears, our presence automatically liberates others. Nelson Mandela What a wonderful statement. We are indeed truly liberated when we come from our truth, our love and our knowingness that we are Magnificent creations of love, wholeness, and perfection. Have a blessed 2001 and remember, embrace all that you are and witness the miracles. Happy New Year! Michelene |
