Recently I
was in Reno attending a seminar with Dr. Doreen Virtue on connecting
with the angels. Before all was said and done, I discovered it was a
perfect weekend for actually being conscious of the miracles that took
place. Because the
Reno Air Races were in town, hotel availability was scarce or
non-existent…and that was when our first miracle happened. My friend
Peggy and I decided to “call upon the angels” for a reasonable
place to stay. We actually found a room right across from where the
seminar was taking place! Of course there were NO rooms for Saturday
— that is until we called, (after asking for the angels help again)
and were given our same room. What a wonderful validation of angels at
work…not to mention our second miracle. It is in the small miracles
and the paying attention to them that actually creates more miracles.
It doesn’t matter whether you hear voices in the head, (no you’re
not crazy) or see a sign along your day’s travel, or even hear a
song over and over. The only important thing to remember is if you ask
your guides/angels for assistance be on the alert for the answer…you
will receive one. When I look
back at that weekend I am amazed at the transformations that took
place. I believe everyone in the room was touched by Doreen, “The
Angel Lady,” on a heart level. Her down to Earth explanations, her
abilities to see and communicate with the angels and those who have
made their transitions, brought about a realism that even the most
skeptic would find hard not to believe. Through it
all, Doreen’s two main messages, at least for me, were: “the
angels love you and want to help you,” and, “you have to ask your
angels for assistance and then you have to listen.” The
“asking” part I believe can be a tough one for many of us because
we weren’t always taught to ask. But on the other hand the listening
can be just as tough. What if I
ask and the answer is something different than I “expected” or
even wanted? Afterall, I know what’s best for me…don’t I? What is the
energy behind asking? For some it may be a sign of weakness. For
others it may invoke guilt for having asked. And on another front, it
could even be a challenge to prove that asking does no good. Does any
of this hit a cord…I know it does for me. Then there
is the listening part. By listening am I willing to follow the advice
of the angels? By listening do I give up control or free will? What if
I listen and find myself on a whole new path…would that be scary or
exciting? I believe it would probably be a little bit of both. I feel what
is boils down to is learning to let go and actually trusting. How can
we embrace the abundance of life if we are not willing to let go of
the control of how that abundance comes to us. I am speaking of every
area of life, wisdom, knowledge, finances, fun, laughter
relationships, etc. All those perceptions of the mind. As I truly
sat with this whole angel adventure I realized that asking and
listening is a good thing. It definitely isn’t a question of who is
in control or whether my perception of what I want is actualized. It
is about trust and faith that whatever path I walk I do so with the
assistance of the unseen realm…the realm of angels. We don’t
have to know everything that is happening in our lives. All we have to
know is that love is all around us and can be a most powerful moving
force in our lives. Thank you Ms. Doreen Virtue for your gifts to the world…the gift of the angels and the gift of love. Take care.
