The Odyssey has come and gone and I do believe everyone that attended had a good time. The speakers were awesome, the food healthy and the camaraderie heartwarming. For those not been able to attend we will be offering tapes of the seminar - look for the details in the June issue. As we enter the fifth month of 1999 we are reminded everywhere that May is a month in which we celebrate a very special woman in our lives - our mother. And so, in acknowledgment, "Happy Mother's Day" - this is your time! Step up to the plate Mom, don't be shy. Accept the glory of who you are. You are the beacon within the storms of life; you comfort us when we cry and you encourage us to rise when we fall. You challenge us to always do better and you praise us when we do. You are indeed a guiding light within the chaos of life and from your wisdom there comes a gentleness of a mother's love. You are much more than a vessel through which we came into being - you are the lifeline of creation. So Mom, accept the tributes, the flowers, the candy, the special dinners - those little gifts from the heart. You deserve them. And always remember, the highest honor we can give is in the mirroring of your love to the world. May is indeed a month in which we recognize you and it is also a wondrous time where we can stroll down memory lane with the one who brought us into this world. When I think of my mother, who has been gone for over 27 years, I still remember the times when she would wrap me in her arms and assure me that everything would be alright. How I miss those days when I could go and confide in her, yet, she is never far - for she resides always within my heart and memories. I honor this day, for without her, I would not be. My wish for each of you this month is that you discover something new about your Mother, and yourself. Take the time to look into the soul and see a great love that embraces all creation and in so doing, reclaim the purity of love… you. |
